THE PURPOSE
This exhibition stems from Samuel’s documentary book,
Asana: Into the Himalayas
The purpose of this NFT exhibition hosted by obtainable.io is to attract a global audience and inspire a new adventurous generation of blockchain investors while generating funding for global water conservation projects.
Samuel is utilizing the artworks to directly raise funds and awareness on global water preservation, infrastructure, sanitation, and research programs in the Himalayas with nonprofits such as Charity Water, Waves for Water, The Water Research Foundation, Conscious Impact, Unify, and Global Giving. This will support focused projects in countries such as Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China by donating 100% of the profits from the Into the Himalayas Exhibitions.

ABOUT
THE ARTIST
Samuel R. J. Gillilan (b. 1989) is an award-winning international Leica photographer, visionary artist, educator, explorer, and author. His photographic work is found in Vogue, AP, Getty, and more.
Samuel spent his early years growing up on a sailboat in the Pacific Northwest. Visual arts and music were at the forefront of his home-based education. After earning a degree and having a career in the live music industry for over 10 years, Samuel’s attention turned towards science.
Samuel began working in a quantum physics research laboratory, building resonance energy sources for deep space travel, this research lead Samuel to explore the medium of photography as a form of expressing the human experience, creating windows into other-worldly dimensions.
Samuel is based in Kauai, Hawaii. He has traveled as a pilgrim to over eighteen countries to document multicultural Holy Sites.
These pilgrimages have inspired Samuel’s self-mastery through the medium of photography; an instrument Samuel uses to convey inner visions and the ancient symbolism of the human psyche.
Ancient traditions, symbolism, time, physics, and the greater nature of reality are themes that thread together Samuel’s imagery.
