Chris Dyer x Open Your Eyes

Chris Dyer, since the early 2000s this artist has pushed the boundaries of cultural fusion through his own intricate multinational take on artistic expression.

Chris Dyer grew up in Lima, Peru until the age of 17 when he moved to Canada.

These days he is based in Montreal but spends half of his time on the road, performing and spreading his art worldwide.

He has been able to reach over 35 different countries, which has given him the chance to absorb and learn much from a variety of unique cultures.

These powerful, life-changing experiences have helped him create a truly rare flavor of art, which draws from a contrasting pool of styles and fuses these cultures together to shape a spiritual oneness of unity within diversity, which appeals to all, yet belongs to none.

Chris’ artistic story is deeply rooted in the skateboarding culture he has been a part of his life since he was a young boy.

Since as early as 1986 he began designing and drawing his very own board graphics. By the time he was done with school he was fully focused on his passion for fine art done on broken boards, breathing new life into a forgotten, defeated piece of wood.

This enthusiasm soon found Chris working in California and all over the globe in the skateboarding industry, creating elaborate graphics for a variety of renowned brands.

More recently, he was the Art Director of California’s Creation Skateboards, which helped inspire him to reach the next level of quality.

Chris has done it all, board graphics, giant wooden sculptures, massive murals, entire installations, workshops, his own clothing brand, documentaries, canvases, magazines, books, and now finally he takes a step towards the virtual NFT world making him truly a jack of all trades.

Chris’ exploration of untapped worlds and his ability to juggle different mediums, techniques, and themes have set him apart within any artistic movement he finds himself in.

Because of his unique voice, and passion, Chris become one of the leading figures of the North American Visionary Art movement. This position has given him the opportunity to act as a bridge between the spiritual movement and the less typical “Conscious” street art and skate culture.

The quality of Dyer’s art has been noticed globally by galleries and museums around the world.

Bringing his art with him wherever he goes, Chris performs at live art installations so he can share his passion with his fans.

It brings Chris true joy to see his fans happy and he has no problem traversing the world once again to share his heart and soul with the community.

Naturally, the NFT space is the perfect environment to grow and spread his art on an obtainable, accessible platform, that fully backs his mission to fuse and advance culture into a new ownerless form.

With his rich following growing every day, we know this man’s journey is just beginning, and we have the chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece of his creative history.
